"I always had a love for creativity but I struggled with consistency and directions in my artworks. I often felt stuck on not knowing how to improve and what to do next. I joined the membership because I wanted guided learning from professionals. Sneha mam's classes are very well organized, beginner friendly and very motivating. I truly believe canvas of heritage is a great choice for anyone who loves Indian folk arts. Its a nurturing space for creativity and connecting children with their roots in a fun and meaningful way."

Yakshit Raj

"I always wanted to create Indian art forms so I gathered my materials and used an inspiration photo to start, but I wasn't happy with the results. That's when I decided to join an art class which focused on Indian art forms to improve my skills. I enrolled in Canvas of Heritage, and I've seen a remarkable improvement in my artwork. My art teacher, Dr. Sneha Maroo, not only teaches us these beautiful art forms but also shares the fascinating history, stories and culture behind them. I am very happy for having chosen Canvas of Heritage and truly grateful for this experience."

Bhumika

"Hi, I am Yuvin. I think Sneha Aunty's art lessons are extraordinary because they are step by step and she turns them into easy paintings. Her Hanuman Chalisa and culture lessons are also very good because each time we finish a verse or a doha section she tells us a story about it which makes it very exciting to learn."

Yuvin

"In the recent times, I've been through a major health crisis that brought a lot of anxiety, fear and uncertainty. It was Indian art which brought a lot of peace and stability into my life. With Dr. Sneha as my mentor I know I am in very good hands because she's the best at what she does. She has designed the course in such a way that every age group can learn easily. I highly recommend this course to everyone."

What Families, Parents & Professionals Say

Nandini

Nandini

Sneha is an amazing art teacher who brings a perfect blend of passion and kindness to her work. Her love for art is only matched by the genuine care she shows for her students. She's incredibly patient, making sure every child feels supported while exploring their creativity. Instead of sticking to strict rules, she encourages the kids to unleash their imaginations and create at their own pace, making art fun and accessible. Her energy keeps the kids engaged and excited to improve. Plus, she's doing a wonderful job of passing on the beauty of traditional Indian art forms. My son absolutely loved both her art classes and the Hanuman Chalisa workshop. The workshop was such an immersive experience for him that prayers to Hanuman have now become a meaningful part of his daily life. Sneha's ability to blend spirituality with art makes her workshops truly unique and impactful. It's heartwarming to see how her teachings have left a lasting impression on Yuvin.

We, as a family, will forever cherish our association with Sneha. Initially we were apprehensive of online classes, especially for art for such young minds, but Sneha pulled it off seamlessly. Throughout the sessions, she would narrate anecdotes, ask questions to keep kids engaged, and teach the basics of art. Her collaboration and communication with parents were on point. I am grateful that Neel was introduced to art through such a passionate teacher. Neel's love for art is solely because of Sneha Aunty. Through her art camps, Sneha introduced Neel to Indian mythology. Through Sneha's 'Dashavatharam Warli art class, Neel has created the cutest art, now hanging in our living room. Neel receives compliments all the time; that is a testament in itself. Continuing on this tradition, thanks to her Hanuman Chalisa and Lingashtakam sessions, Neel can narrate both with love and ease. Thanks to Sneha for imparting these lessons for life; this makes his grandparents happy and proud.

Sneha aunty's art classes are an amazing experience that every young artist should attend. From traditional Indian Madhubani art to pencil shading, Sneha aunty's classes span a wide range and multiple styles of art around the world. Some of my personal favourites include coffee painting and most of all Indian folk arts including Mandala art, Madhubani art and Lippan art. She also makes sure that the class is a lot of fun and she is very dedicated and passionate about teaching. So if you're in the look out for an art teacher, contact Sneha aunty as soon as possible!! My little brother Vishruth says "Sneha aunty's art class is five stars. I definitely recommend it. Her arts are really fun and on Indian holidays she teaches festival art like Holi, Diwali along with stories. She caters to all age groups from 7 years onwards with her teaching style. I hope you really like Sneha aunty's art class just the way we do".

Sneha has a unique talent in teaching art to kids and adults alike. She is very patient and meticulous in her work. My daughter Siri developed a great interest in art with her inspiration and she states that art relaxes her a lot. The Mandala and Lippan art workshops were just so good! My daughter Siri says "I have thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Sneha's classes over the years and they gave me a unique perspective on art . I love attending her classes. I am so grateful to have a display of my art in my room and the best one is the Ramayana folk art !"

Sneha is such a unique person, a bundle of unlimited talent! Our Kids, now 12 and 9 years old participated in several Art and Shloka sessions conducted by Sneha. Especially, during the Covid lockdown, Sneha's art sessions were such a great respite for the kids. She makes learning art seem easy and her teaching style is impeccable. Her soothing voice and her unique storytelling skills make Shloka and mythology classes very engaging. Our schedules are busy, but we always try to do sessions with Sneha during the summer and winter break.

I had the pleasure of learning from Sneha during the pandemic, when she offered online classes for Mandala, Decoupage, and Lippan Art. Sneha is an exceptional teacher who truly brings out the artist i everyone. Her passion for art, patience, and clear instructions made each class enjoyable and easy to follow. I now have my beautiful creations displayed proudly in my home, a constant reminder of the skills I gained through her classes. Sneha has a unique ability to make every student feel confident and capable, no matter their skill level. I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and highly recommend her classes to anyone looking to explore their creativity!

Avoid These 5 Mistakes

  • Believing art is only for the 'naturally talented'
  • Considering arts as an "optional" extra curricular activity
  • Waiting until kids are "older" to teach values and culture
  • Using screen time as a substitute for real connection
  • Ignoring emotional wellness—for yourself or your child
  • Living in a space that doesn't reflect your soul or story

30 minutes a day is all it takes to find joy, build confidence, and reconnect with culture through your art.
